SANTA CLARA (KRON) — KRON 4 has learned that two people have been taken to the hospital following an incident Friday evening at Great America.
An employee at the park was reportedly hit by the roller coaster ride, ‘Flight Deck.’
Sources close to the amusement park say that the employee was alert and talking when first responders arrived.
A guest is also being treated for a possible broken bone.
There are reports that the ride is still currently stopped, but KRON 4 was not able to immediately confirm that.
‘Flight Deck’ was formerly called ‘Top Gun.’
In 1998, a man was killed while trying to retrieve his hat from under the Top Gun ride.
