SAN JOSE (KRON) — The two men that were fatally shot last week near San Jose San University have been identified as 20-year-old Edwin Verduro and 22-year-old Meneses Rangel, both San Jose residents.
On June 28 at about 2:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person shot in the area of South 11th and East San Antonio streets, just a block east of SJSU, according to police.
The victims were found in the area suffering from at least one gun shot wound each and were transported to a hospital.
One victim died of his injuries shortly after arriving to the hospital.
The other victim succumbed to this injuries from the shooting two days later.
Police have not identified any suspects and are looking into the circumstances surrounding the shooting, according to police.
