Two men arrested in connection with Scotts Valley burglaries

SCOTTS VALLEY (KRON) — Police arrested two San Jose men in connection with two Scotts Valley burglaries early Monday morning.

William Cook, 34, and Enrique Osuna, 37, were both arrested after officers spotted the pair inside a vehicle that matched the description of the suspect vehicle connected to the burglaries, according to police.

Police received reports of the two burglaries on Monday between 1:50 a.m. and 4:15 a.m. at two different shopping centers near Mt. Hermon Road, according to police.

Both cases involved forced entry by smashed glass doors.  Police were able to collect evidence and also got a description of one of the suspects and also the vehicle.

Police were able to ID the vehicle, and pulled the driver over for a traffic stop.

During the stop, officers located evidence linking the driver, Cook, to the two burglaries.

Officers also found evidence in the vehicle connected to another commercial burglary in Watsonville, according to police.

Both men were arrested for possessing stolen property. Cook was also arrested for a probation violation, police said.
