BRENTWOOD (KRON)– On Monday morning, Brentwood police arrested two men for engaging in a speed race that resulted in a crash.
A 74-year-old Brentwood resident and a 28-year-old Antioch resident began a race after a red light on Sand Creek Road at O’Hara Avenue at about 9 a.m. Monday.
As the older man’s Honda S2000 was speeding alongside the younger man’s Nissan 350Z, he had to make a sudden lane change in front of the other motorist which caused both vehicles to spin out of control.
Although neither party was injured, their vehicles were towed and both men were arrested on suspicion of speed racing.
Their names have not immediately been released, however they have notices to appear later in court.
