SAN FRANCISCO (KRON/BCN) — Two people were injured in a shooting Saturday morning in San Francisco’s Mission District after an argument at a nearby gas station, police said.
The shooting was reported at about 6 a.m. in the area of South Van Ness Avenue and 17th Street.
Four men were in a car getting gas at the station when they got into an argument with another man pumping gas, according to police.
The victims drove away and the suspect followed. He drove in front of the victims’ vehicle and cut it off, then opened fire at the vehicle, striking two victims, police said.
One man was hit in the shoulder by the gunfire and another was hit in the back. They went to a hospital to be treated for their injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, according to police.
The suspect, described as being in his mid 30s or early 40s, fled in his silver four-door sedan and remained at large as of Monday morning, police said.
