BERKELEY (KRON) — Bullet holes pierced cars and buildings in Berkeley this morning, following what police believe was a gun battle that left two men injured.
Officers were called to the scene at Ashby and Shattuck Avenues, near the Ashby BART station at about 1:45 a.m.
Two men in their 20’s were taken to a hospital with serious injuries, according to police. The victims are expected to survive.
Investigators believe the occupants of two vehicles shot at each other. Some buildings in the area were struck by gunfire, police said.
There have been no arrests in the case.
