SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire in San Francisco’s Mission District Friday morning, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

The fire broke out around 9:30 a.m. at 143 Poplar St. near the corner of 24th and Valencia Streets in a four-story residential building.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire by 10:10 a.m.

Two firefighters were injured in the fire, according to fire officials. The firefighters suffered minor cuts.

No residents or civilians were injured in the fire.The American Red Cross is responding to the scene to assist the 21 residents reportedly affected by the fire. The total amount of people displaced is not yet known, according to the fire department.The cause of the fire is under investigation.
