UPDATE: Richard Contreras, 26, was arrested in Richmond on Monday in connection with the Twin Peaks double homicide.
Contreras is being held on multiple charges including one count of attempted murder, carjacking, firearm by a felon, assault with a semi-automatic firearm, and two counts of murder, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
He is expected to be in court for arraignment Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
UPDATE MONDAY 12:57 PM: Julio Peraza’s mother spoke with KRON 4 News on Monday.
Sylvia Peraza told KRON 4 that her son would light up a room with his charm and personality.

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – Two men are dead and one is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting early Sunday morning in San Francisco, police said.
Officers responded at 2:06 a.m. to the Twin Peaks lookout on a report of a shooting, officials with the San Francisco Police Department said.
Three men were found with gunshot wounds, police said. One man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two of the victims were taken to the hospital, where one of them died.
The deceased victims have been identified as Rene Mora, 19, and Julio Peraza, 21, both of Santa Rosa, according to police.
The condition of the 18-year-old man that was taken to the hospital is unknown at this time.
Police believe another man who is a suspect in the shooting targeted the three men and fled, police said.
SFPD said the suspect fled the scene by carjacking a vehicle from another person at Twin Peaks.
The carjacked vehicle is described as a GMC Yukon Denali, dark grey in color, California license plate 5PJU851. The suspect is described as a male.
If you see the vehicle, do not approach it. Call 911 immediately, stay away, and wait until law enforcement arrives.
