BURLINGAME (KRON) — Hayward police have arrested two people accused of robbing a Walgreens pharmacy in Burlingame on Tuesday, according to Burlingame police Lt. Jay Kiely.
Hayward police found a stolen car at the Phoenix Lodge in Hayward on Wednesday morning, Kiely said. During the investigation, officers found the two suspects in a hotel room.
Police believed the suspects, identified as 21-year-old Elisa Solis of Redwood City and 21-year-old Brayan Pinon, a transient, were connected to the stolen car. After talking with the two, Hayward police officers found prescription drugs thought to be connected to the Walgreens robbery, Kiely said.
Burlingame detectives were called to the hotel, and the suspects admitted to the robbery, police said. Solis and Pinon were arrested by Burlingame police for the pharmacy robbery.
Police believe Pinon is the person seen on surveillance images holding a knife and committing the pharmacy theft.
Pinon allegedly jumped the counter, robbed a pharmacy technician at knifepoint, and then made off with about 3,200 pills, police said.
