Vallejo police arrested two suspects in an armed robbery that occurred in Fairfield Monday morning.

The suspects allegedly robbed the victims using a .22-caliber rifle with a silencer around 7:50 a.m. near a Walgreens store in Fairfield and fled in a blue Nissan, Vallejo police Lt. Kent Tribble said.

Fairfield police sent a be on the lookout alert and the Nissan was spotted twenty minutes later on westbound Interstate Highway 80, Tribble said.

Police pursued the car through central and north Vallejo until both suspects fled on foot in the 300 block of Washington Street in Vallejo, Tribble said.

One of the suspects, identified as 20-year-old Jakari Taylor of Sacramento, was caught by a Vallejo police canine. The second suspect, identified as 18-year-old Jakobi Brumfield of Fairfield, was caught hiding in a yard on Washington Street, Tribble said.

Police interviewed a total of three victims. All of them were reportedly local high school students.

Vallejo High School was locked down during the yard-to-yard search for the suspects, Tribble said. The suspects were turned over to Fairfield police, and the rifle allegedly used in the robbery was recovered in \Fairfield.
