PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (KRON/CNN) — More fallout from Donald Trump’s inflammatory comments about Mexican immigrants. The Professional Golfers Association is the latest to distance itself from the Republican presidential candidate over the controversy.

Trump and the PGA “mutually agreed” to pull the association’s 2015 Grand Slam of Golf from Trump’s Los Angeles golf course, according to statements from both sides released on Tuesday.

The cancellation comes after Univision, NBC, and Macy’s severed ties with the real estate mogul after he called some immigrants coming across the U.S. southern border “rapists” and “killers” during the announcement to launch his presidential campaign.

Trump has refused to apologize for his comments, instead doubling down and insisting that the Mexican government is sending the worst individuals in its society across the border and into the U.S.

Trump and PGA officials met on Monday to discuss the event and agreed to move the competition to a non-Trump-owned golf course.

“The parties mutually agreed that it is in the best interest of all not to conduct the PGA Grand Slam of Golf at Trump National — Los Angeles,” the PGA said in a statement.

The PGA said it was exploring options on where to move the event, along with its annual PGA Junior League Golf Championship that also was to be held at Trump National Los Angeles.

Trump said, because of the backlash over his comments, he does not want the PGA of America to deal with any consequences.

“I have great respect for the PGA of America and everything they stand for,” Trump said in a released statement.
