PETALUMA (KRON)—Petaluma police found a transient man dead Tuesday night in a strip mall parking lot.
The body was found around 7 p.m. on the ground between a dumpster and a fence in the parking lot located on East Washington St.
The man is believed to be in his 20s and has a history of health problems and substance abuse.
Police found a substance near the body that they believe is methamphetamine.
No evidence of foul play or suicide has been found, police said.
The man found dead has been identified as 23-year-old Matthew Stinson.
The man’s name has not been released because police are still trying to get a hold of the family.
