NEWARK (KRON) — The Newark Police Department issued a traffic alert early Thursday morning after diesel spilled on the road in the area of Mowry Avenue and Cedar Boulevard.
The spill was first reported around 6 a.m.
All northbound traffic on Cedar Boulevard was closed to Birch Street.
A northbound lane on Cedar Boulevard from North Magazine Road to Mowry Avenue and both eastbound and westbound lanes of Mowry Avenue were also affected with partial closures due to the spill.
All motorists, especially motorcyclists, were encouraged to use alternate routes.
The road was back open by 9:30 a.m.
