Several lanes of northbound Highway 101 in San Jose were blocked Wednesday morning due to a major traffic accident, according to California Highway Patrol.
The crash involving a motorcycle and six other cars happened around 7:30 a.m. at US-101 north and Alum Rock Ave.
CHP issued a Traffic Alert for the area as the three left lanes of the freeway were blocked.
All lanes reopened around 8:40 a.m.
It is unclear if anyone is injured at this time.
Details about how the crash happened are not yet released.
