SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Two tourists were robbed of their cameras near Lombard Street on Wednesday afternoon, according to Ofc. Giselle Talkoff.

Police said two robbers threatened to shoot the tourists, who are from China, on San Francisco’s Russian Hill at around 1:43 p.m. The victims are a 36-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, police said.

The robbery happened at Greenwich and Leavenworth streets, located just a block south of Lombard, Talkoff said. The suspects approached the two from behind, and one of them told the man he had a gun, police said.

The suspects ran away from the scene.

The couple was not hurt in the robbery and no guns were seen, police said.

This latest robbery is part of a series of crimes targeting tourists in the neighborhood.
