SAN RAFAEL (KRON) — Blink and you’ll miss Nassim Kabbara of San Rafael High School on the track.
The newly minted graduate is a track star, placing 19th in the state in the 1600 meter race.
But Kabbara doesn’t just excel in sports, he is also a star inside the classroom.
The senior took multiple advanced classes and will leave high school with a 4.43 grade point average. Kabbara said he “couldn’t take APs until junior year, so it could have been a little higher.”
Kabbara’s engineering teacher Steve Temple said that the senior is “just an incredibly positive individual who brings a lot of energy to the classroom.”
The graduating senior made a lot of memories while at San Rafael High School. He started a running club, was a senior adviser to freshman and the treasurer of an environmental club.
In the fall, Kabbara will be running for his college team and majoring in chemical engineering at the Colorado School of Mines.
