RICHMOND (KRON)—Three men have been arrested in connection to a deadly park shooting in Richmond Monday night.

19-year-old Richard Taylor of Richmond, 22-year-old Anthony Tolliver of Richmond and 19-year-old Karmani Ely of San Pablo have been arrested.

The incident was reported around 10:50 p.m. Monday at La Moine Park on Morningside Drive.

When officers arrived, they found two men had been shot.

One of the men had multiple gun shot wounds and later died of his injuries.

Police have identified him as 21-year-old Eric Brown of Richmond.

The second man who was shot has been identified as a 19-year-old Rodeo resident. He was shot in the lower extremities and is expected to survive.

Detectives found that it was an isolated incident and was a case of a drug deal gone wrong.

Taylor, Tolliver and Ely have been charged with robbery and murder.

The weapons used in the murder were recovered, according to police.

“The department is extremely proud of the homicide detectives and patrol officers who kept their focus in finding the perpetrators of this senseless crime,” police officials said in a statement. “Also, we hope that these arrests bring some closure and comfort to Eric Brown’s family.”
