SAN RAMON (KRON) — Police in San Ramon have arrested three people who they think were responsible for a burglary Wednesday afternoon.
Around 1:10 p.m., police were called to a house on Rustic Place after getting a called about an in-progress burglary.
When police arrived, the resident told them that the burglars had broken the back window of the house and were inside the home.
One of the responding officers saw a woman texting inside a BMW near the house and thought it seemed suspicious.
As that officer went to the house, the burglars ran out of the house and the officer saw the BMW drive off.
Responding officers were able to locate the car believed to have been involved and detained the driver and two passengers.
Police identified them as 34-year-old Devon Taylor of Riverside, 44-year-old Neikko Williams of Pittsburg and 43-year-old Jonathan Campbell of Modesto.
The homeowner positively identified the two men as the burglary suspects.
All three were arrested and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
