SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – Thousands of supporters of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump filed past several dozen chanting protesters without major incident at a Sacramento campaign rally.
Protester James Faygo Clark used a bullhorn to label trump a “loser,” and “fascist.”
Across a row of riot-helmeted police, Jake Towe used his own bullhorn to retort that Trump can’t be stopped.
About 5,000 supporters showed up at the Wednesday evening rally at Sacramento International Airport, while several hundred were turned away.
Sacramento County Sheriff’s Sgt. Tony Turnbull said there were no arrests or other problems amid the heavy security.
Last week, clashes between police, protesters and Trump supporters led to arrests in Anaheim, Fresno and San Diego.
