The World of Things event takes over the Moscone Center

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — 150 exhibitors have taken over San Francisco’s Moscone Center, each one showing the latest “thing.”

The annual Internet of Things World is the world’s largest “internet of things” show.


It shows the future of home and lifestyle technology, allowing innovators to create a future where new technologies, innovative products and creative solutions contribute to a better world and richer experienced.

Some of the items are futuristic, but others are available now.

All of the major home players are at the event, showing off the latest technology for controlling home functions and appliances. For example, ways to control everything in a house with a smart phone.

The event covers everything from manufacturing to “smart cities,” connected cars, consumer wearables and fitness, healthcare, energy and utilities, beacons and smart homes.
