SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — On today’s edition of The World According to Gary, Darya Folsom and Gary Radnich talk about Colin Kaepernick kneeling instead of sitting during the Nation Anthem and his promise to donate $1 million.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and safety Eric Reid kneeled down during the National Anthem Thursday night in San Diego. Another player in Seattle also sat down to join Kaepernick’s protest.
“It was almost like Kaepernick’s Superbowl,” Gary said. “All eyes were on him.”
Kaepernick has said he will donate $1 million to charities that aid communities in need after he received an uproar of backlash after he refused to stand for the National Anthem in protest of police brutality.
“It shows his heart and head are in the right place,” Gary said about Kaepernick’s donation.
