HOUSTON, TX (WCMH/CNN) — A Texas mom taught her son a lesson about bullying by making him wear a T-shirt that read: ‘I am a bully.’
“Star,” of Splendora, TX, who asked that only her first name be used, said she was outraged when she learned her son was calling other boys at school stupid and idiots, KTRK reported.
She said made him wear the T-shirt to make it clear that she was against bullying.
“I did what I had to do to stop it from progressing,” Star said. “Well, I wanted to do something that would teach him why he can’t do those things. Why? He needs to take other people into consideration.”
She posted a picture of her fifth-grade son wearing the shirt on Facebook but removed it after getting negative feedback.
But she said the punishment worked.
Her son has since apologized to all the children he bullied at school, Star said.
