HUTTO, Texas (KXAN) – A Hutto High School coach has been arrested and now faces charges for an improper relationship with a student.
Jake Fenske was booked into the Williamson County Jail Friday. He is accused of having a relationship with a student.
Hutto ISD said they are cooperating with the Hutto Police Department and awaiting clearance from Hutto PD to resume the district’s own investigation. Fenske has been placed on administrative leave.
“Hutto ISD places the safety and security of students as its highest priority,” the district’s statement said. “If any wrong doing is discovered, Hutto ISD will hold staff accountable to the fullest extent possible.”
According to the Hutto athletics website, Fenske is the team’s quarterback coach.
The 26-year-old is being held on a $25,000 bond. He was in his second full year of teaching science and coaching football and track.
The school district says they have notified Child Protective Services and the State Board for Educator Certification.
