SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The driver of a silver SUV who mowed down two pedestrians in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood Sunday afternoon remains at large.
Police say the hit-and-run suspect struck a 58-year-old woman standing on the corner of Golden Gate and Leavenworth Streets around 3:51 p.m.
While fleeing the first hit, the driver struck a 58-year-old man in the crosswalk and continued fleeing down Eighth Street, according to police.
Both pedestrians were taken to San Francisco General Hospital. The woman was bleeding from the head and the man was suffering from shoulder pain, police said.
As of Monday the driver remains at large.
Police described the suspect as a black man between 25 and 30 years old driving a silver 2005 Toyota SUV with the California license plate #7JGL870.
