SALINAS (BCN) — A shooting in Salinas early Saturday afternoon left one teenager with a gunshot wound to the head, according to police.
Police said officers responded to the 800 block of Capistrano Drive just before noon on reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers learned the victim had already left the scene.
A short time later a 16-year-old male, thought to be the victim in the shooting, arrived at a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the head, according to police.
An investigation revealed the shooting might have stemmed from an earlier incident at a nearby residence in the 100 block of West Acacia Street.
