SALINAS (KRON) — A teenager was stabbed several times outside a Ross Dress for Less in Salinas Sunday night, according to police.
The stabbing took place in the parking lot outside the store at 1516 North Main Street around 9:30 p.m., police said.
The 19-year-old victim was stabbed in the upper body multiple times while trying to fight off the suspect. The teen was then taken to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, police said.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male about six feet tall with a thin build and dark clothing.
Officers were able to find a knife at the scene.
