MOUNTAIN VIEW (KRON) — The tech boom in the Bay Area has brought jobs to the area, but is also made finding housing a much more expensive task.
It’s fairly common to find 940 square feet apartment in a complex with two bedrooms and a bathroom for almost $3,300. In fact, that apartment will likely end up going for more, but that’s the starting point.
With the tech boom hitting the peninsula especially hard, city leaders are now getting involved.
Mountain View city councilman Larry Seigal has lived in the city for decades and ties trying to find a plan to help his community through this tech boom.
