SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Schoola is a website and app for buying gently used kid’s clothing, saving a ton of money and also raising money for public schools.
All of the clothes available are brand name and in good condition. Typically they are 60-90% off retail price.
40% of whatever Schoola early from purchases is donated to schools.
Parents of school donate the old clothes. When the clothes are sent in, the donor decides which school will get the proceeds.
Schoola sends out a mailing bag with a pre-paid shipping label. The donor fills the bag and mails it in.
Livermore Valley Charter recently had a clothes drive and also donated all of its lost and found items that were never claimed. The school sent in all those items and got a big check in return.
