Tech Report: Navy setup at Marina Green in San Francisco has virtual reality experience

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The Navy is using the latest cutting-edge technology to entertain and inspire people on the Marina Green in San Francisco this weekend for Fleet Week.

You’ll get your chance at San Francisco Fleet Week, when the U.S. Navy features a new high-tech virtual reality experience showcasing what it feels like to be part of today’s Navy. The immersive, virtual reality mobile display, built into an 18-wheeler truck, stops off in San Francisco after making its debut in Sacramento last weekend. Located at Marina Green, the display opens to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sunday, October 9. Navy staff will be on hand as well to answer questions and help visitors navigate the site.
