SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Microsoft has unveiled its plans for its much-hyped HoloLens.
It Is an augmented reality headset. the company is now selling the device to developers, so they can create useful applications for the average person.
Microsoft showed off what the HoloLens will offer video gaming in the near future. They used the game “Project X-ray.”
The holographic ghanlit is what Dan will be using while playing game. The HoloLens blends the real world around you with holograms. It’s crazy futuristic, but it’s close to hitting the market.
It’s like the room comes alive. The world around you comes alive and is a part of the game.
This isn’t virtual reality. Dan is seeing the real world around him.
He is also seeing holograms blended into the real world. This HoloLens will offer the most realistic interactive experience we’ve seen yet with any technology.
Dan can even use his shield to defend himself.
Another game they showed off that could be enhanced with holograms is Minecraft. You could build virtual 3D worlds, and Minecraft is a perfect game for this.
HoloLens will offer more then just gaming. It could be used in almost every part of your digital or computing life.
It will first be a tool for designing, for collaboration, for art, for creation, for engineers, and for architects. Or it could be used for people designing things.
They can use holograms to visualize how something will look in the physical world, whether it’s a new piece of furniture in your home, a toy for your kids, or a new creation for work.
