SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — BART has been experiencing systemwide delays Thursday morning due to an equipment problem on the tracks near downtown Oakland, according to a dispatcher.
BART initially reported the problem at 7:50 a.m. The dispatcher said there was an issue with switching equipment on the tracks.
Trains were moving again through the area as of shortly after 8 a.m., but there is a backup causing delays of up to 20 minutes.
There were also delays earlier this morning because of a separate track equipment problem reported at 4:40 a.m.Stay with KRON4 News for updates
