WALNUT CREEK (KRON) — Walnut Creek police are searching for three people that were caught on video driving away from a gas station with an ATM tied to a truck.
The incident happened Friday morning at 5:05 a.m. at the Shell gas station located 265 Ygnacio Valley Rd.
According to police, the three suspects pulled up to the station booth in a White Ford F-250 or 350 Quad-Cab long bed 4×4 truck. One suspect wearing a red beanie distracted the lone clerk while the second suspect wearing a black hoodie attached a cable to the outdoor ATM.
The video shows the truck pulling away with the ATM attached to its mount.
“The suspects hoisted the ATM into the back of the truck and fled the scene. Video of the incident can be viewed at the following link,” police said.
Two of the suspects were described as white males, one wearing a red beanie, the other dressed in a black hoodie.
