Police arrested a suspect who reportedly carjacked a woman at gunpoint in Livermore last week.
It happened on Wednesday, April 4 around 7 p.m. in the area of Third and S. K Streets.
The victim told police she was walking to her car when she was approached by the suspect, later identified as Logan Masterson. Masterson pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded her car keys. The victim surrendered her keys and Masterson got into the car and fled the scene.
Police later located Masterson traveling northbound on North Livermore Avenue at Las Positas Road. When officers tried to stop him, Masterson sped away and led officers on a short car chase until stopping on the shoulder. He was taken into custody.
Police say another victim later reported a residential burglary. It was determined that the two handguns and other property in Masterson’s possession were taken during that reported burglary.
