PINOLE (KRON)—Police are looking for a man who robbed a Pinole gas station Tuesday afternoon.

Officers responded to reports of a robbery in progress at the Chevron gas station on Pinole Valley Road and Estates Avenue around 4:10 p.m.

When they arrived, the clerk told them a man came into the store and pulled out a handgun. The suspect then demanded the clerk hand over the money and she did as he asked.

The suspect left the scene in a blue sedan without license plates that was parked on Estates Avenue.

Before the robbery at the gas station, the same suspect was seen at the Mechanics Bank inside the Pinole Valley Shopping Center which is across the street from the Chevron.

The suspect went into the bank, stopped at a table and left.

Police describe the suspect as a black man with a goatee, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall with a thin build.

He was last seen wearing a dark sport coat with a black hoodie sweatshirt underneath. He was also wearing a Golden State Warriors shirt and hat.

During the incident, the suspect kept holding his cell phone up to his ear.

The investigation into the case is ongoing.
