SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Police arrested a 45-year-old man who suffered a life-threatening injury while robbing a San Francisco store Sunday evening, according to police.

The incident took place at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday near Geary and Stockton streets, according to police.

A security guard approached the suspect who resisted arrest, police said.

The suspect, whose had not been identified was taken to the hospital for treatment.

It is not immediately known what happened to the man, or his condition.

Once the suspect is medically cleared, he will be booked in county jail, according to SFPD spokesman, Albie Esparza
