HERCULES (KRON)— A police pursuit started in Vallejo Tuesday morning and ended with several crashes in Hercules.
The suspect is still at large after leaving the scene on foot just before 1:30 a.m. near a business on the 800 block of Willow Avenue, according to the Hercules Police Department.
The pursuit began on Interstate 80 in Vallejo when the California Highway Patrol spotted the suspect’s vehicle. Authorities continued following the vehicle onto Cummings Skyway in unincorporated Contra Costa County.
The suspect tried hiding from the officers by taking the Willow Avenue exit and drove behind a local business, police said.
The car was found by the CHP and the driver tried to escape again. He then hit a CHP vehicle and a cement garbage structure.
After another crash in a parking lot, the suspect left on foot.
Police have not released any other information about the suspect at this time.
