Authorities need your help identifying a suspect in the attempted kidnapping of a woman Saturday in Watsonville.
According to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office, it happened around 4 p.m. at Pinto Lake County Park on Green Valley Road.
Authorities say the 27-year-old victim was attending a family party at the park when she went to her car and was approached and forcibly grabbed from behind by the suspect.
The victim was able to get away and scream for help while the suspect ran to a nearby parked car and left the scene.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his late 30’s to early 40’s, about 6 feet tall, thin build, and a medium-to-dark complexion.
He was last seen wearing a black short-sleeve shirt with red and white lettering and black shorts.
The suspect’s car was described as a mid-90’s light blue, 2-door Honda Accord with sun damage on the paint.
