SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Police arrested a man they believe stabbed two victims in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood.

The 44-year-old suspect allegedly attacked two men around 2 p.m. in the 100 block of Golden Gate Avenue on Tuesday, according to police.

The suspect was armed with a folding knife and approached a man sitting on the ground before stabbing him several times in the neck, back and arms.  Police say as the suspect fled he got into an altercation with another man and stabbed him in the face before getting away on foot.

The victims, ages 50 and 39, were transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Officers later took the suspect into custody in the 900 block of Eddy Street, police said. His name was not immediately being released.

Police are still investigating a motive for the attacks.
