PETALUMA (BCN) — A suspect in a stabbing in downtown Petaluma last month was arrested after he contacted police, a Petaluma police sergeant said.
Ryan Jerry Gray, 23, of Berkeley, confirmed his involvement in the Feb. 13 stabbing on Water Street, Sgt. Ed Crosby said. Gray appeared in Sonoma County Superior Court and posted $60,000 bail Wednesday, Crosby said. His arraignment for assault with a deadly weapon is April 4, Crosby said.
A 20-year-old Santa Rosa man was with two friends from Petaluma when he was stabbed around 2 a.m. during an altercation involving two other men.
He suffered multiple stab wounds to his torso and was taken to a hospital, Crosby said. The victim has since recovered.
