OLYMPIA (KRON) — David Lingafelter brings a whole new meaning to the excuse “I saw it on TV.”
The 22-year-old was arrested Wednesday in Olympia, Washington when authorities found him hiding behind a dumpster after robbing a Subway sandwich restaurant. When officers searched him, they discovered a bag with a dollar sign drawn on with marker.
According to police, Lingafelter held up the Subway and told the cashier ‘Not to do anything funny,’ as he motioned to his pocket as though he had a weapon. Lungafelter then put the stolen money from the register in a bag marked with a dollar sign.
According to police,Lingafelter was booked for robbery and obstructing.
