FREMONT (KRON) — Police were in the middle of a stand-off with an armed suspect inside a home in Fremont, according to Fremont Police Department.

Fremont police responded to a 911 report of a domestic battery incident at 9:20 a.m.

Responding officers met with a woman, who told police that her 41-year-old boyfriend, Thomas Beltran, beat her and was still inside the home on Darrow Ct.

Police tried to negotiate with the suspect but were unsuccessful. They eventually entered the residence and the suspect had fled.

According to officers, he has access to at least one firearm and has a violent criminal history.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 5’10”, 210-pounds, and was wearing a Raiders jersey.

Logan Drive was closed between Faulkner Drive and Central Ave. Two nearby homes were evacuated and some residences had to shelter in place.
