ROHNERT PARK (KRON) — Authorities in Rohnert Park have identified a man suspected of robbing several Subway sandwich shops in Northern California.
Placer County sheriff’s deputies arrested Frank Solorzano, 28, of Sacramento, on Wednesday, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.
Solorzano allegedly robbed Subway restaurants in Vacaville, Sacramento, Placer County, Rohnert Park, and Petaluma.
The Sonoma County Subway robberies happened on June 1. Solorzano is also suspected of stealing from a Sally Hansen store in Rohnert Park on that same day.
Solorzano tried paying for merchandise with a credit card but his card was denied, Sgt. Jeff Justice said. He then walked out of the store with the unpaid merchandise.
One of the beauty store employees got his license plate number after following him out of the store.
The same employee told Rohnert Park police about the theft and identified Solorzano in the surveillance photos that were released from the Subway store robberies, Justice said.
Solorzano will be transferred from Placer County to Sonoma County, public safety officers said.
