SAN JOSE (KRON) — New video shows what appears to be the alleged robbery suspects who are believed to have been involved in the shooting death of a security guard in San Jose last Saturday night.

In the video, a group of men are seen talking inside a liquor store near the scene of the shooting on the 300 block of North Capitol Avenue at around 9:44 p.m. The men leave the store but one of them returns and steals a display case filled with cigarillos.

The video shows a small area of the store’s front window exploding, the result of a bullet shattering the glass.

The surveillance video captures only what happens inside the liquor store.

Police say that two security guards working at a restaurant next to the liquor store heard about the robbery and responded to the scene.

A car was seen leaving the parking lot, and it is believed that gunshots were fired from the vehicle.

34-year-old Manuel Alvarez Zuniga was struck by two bullets. He later died at a local hospital.

The video was released by the store owner. Police did review the video but have not commented.

Police have not disclosed a motive for the shooting. Investigators are canvassing the area for more information, police said. No suspects have been identified.

Anyone with information about the shooting has been asked to call San Jose police Detective Sgt. Milliken or Detective Corral at (408) 277-5283. Anonymous tips can be left via the tip line at (408) 947-7867.
