A Sunnyvale man has drowned at the Woodward Reservoir near Stockton on Monday, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputies say 26-year-old Victor Sagastume-Menjivar had been swimming with his family near Area U at the reservoir. He was last seen at around 11:45 a.m.
Deputies found his body at around 5 p.m.
Sagastume-Menjivar was not wearing a life jacket and alcohol does not appear to be a factor, deputies said.
This is the first drowning at the reservoir this year.
