Study: California schools rank 43rd out of 50 states

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KRON) —  There is some alarming news for parents of school-aged kids.

New rankings from WalletHub.com shows overall, California schools are 43rd out of 50 states. It is even worse when you focus on school safety. Schools in that category are 49th out of 50.


And California is dead last for student to teacher ratio. The company WalletHub crunched the numbers using a variety of metrics and factors, including test scores, dropout rates, and reports of bullying.

The state scoring the best overall in the study was Massachusetts.
