SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Following recent officer involved shootings, African-American students in Oakland had an open and honest conversation with local police on racial profiling.
KRON 4 reporter Ella Sogomonian had a chance to talk with both sides. They each expressed what they feel and what can be done to instill trust once again in the community’s police officers.
Oakland Unified School District officials say there is room to improve the relationship between the community and cops.
Four students chose to spoke with officers on Thursday and gave their thoughts.
