OAKLAND (KRON) — Steve Kerr will return to coach the Golden State Warriors against the Indiana Pacers Friday night at Oracle Arena in Oakland, the team announced on twitter.
Kerr was forced to take a leave of absence while recovering from complications due to back surgery he had during the off-season.
Luke Walton, the team’s lead assistant coach, took over the job while Kerr recovered.
Kerr lead the Warriors to victory in the team’s first NBA Championship in 40 years.
Kerr will rejoin the team on the beach after missing 43 games.
