Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle is dead after getting shot in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Nipsey Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, was 33 years old.

Hussle is from LA and was active in his community and well known for giving back.

His death has sent shockwaves across the country, including the Bay Area.

Steph Curry and the rest of the Warriors team is reacting to his death.

The death of Hussle weighed heavy on their hearts during their victory game on Sunday night. 

Curry took to Twitter the moment he heard of the shooting: 

Curry says he got to know Hussle very well, not just as a rapper but as a person. Hussle was a guest on Curry’s YouTube show, ‘5 Minutes from Home.’

After hearing that Hussle had died for his injuries, the team played one of his songs at the game in his honor. 

Kevin Durant and Draymond Green danced to the song on the court honoring the rapper. 

Following the game, Curry spoke about how much of an inspiration that Hussle was to his community. He also talked about gun violence. 

Hussle was shot outside of his South Los Angeles clothing store and died at the hospital.

Two other people were hurt in the shooting.

The suspect is still at large.
