SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — If you caught the March 28 episode of Golden State Warriors’ superstar Steph Curry’s “5 Minutes From Home”, you’re aware of his self-proclaimed “popcorn addiction.”
In the episode, Curry describes his ranking system of popcorn at the 29 NBA stadiums.
Curry judges popcorn on freshness, saltiness, butteriness and crunchiness — and as for the worst popcorn in the NBA? That title goes to Los Angeles, fittingly.
“I don’t know what happened in L.A.,” he said. “But they, sorry, they have the worst popcorn in the league. They got to get better.”
The basketball star says the best popcorn out of all 29 arenas is in Brooklyn.
Miami and Dallas take the no. 1 and no. 2 spots, respectively.
In an interview with the New York Times, Curry detailed his complex ranking system for NBA popcorn, saying the popcorn can really impact his “enjoyment” of playing on the road.
He told the Times, “If your popcorn is bad, it affects my mood.”
Curry and the Warriors play Game 1 of the first round of the playoffs Saturday night.
