(KRON) NASA is sharing this breathtaking image from the Hubble telescope.
NASA says this is the “stellar shrapnel” of a star explosion several thousand years ago.
The star was a white dwarf about 160-thousand light-years away from earth.
It was located in the “large magellanic cloud” — which is one of the nearest neighboring galaxies to our Milky Way galaxy.
A star 160,000 light-years away exploded, scattering stellar shrapnel across the sky.
